Laurel House Apartments
In 2001, The Housing Fund, Inc. (THF) was allocated Low Income Housing Tax Credits to develop 48 units of rental housing in a four story mixed-use building with offices for THF and approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor. The apartments are one-bedroom units containing 630 square feet, with 16 units on each of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. All units are affordable to households earning less than 60 percent of the area median income. Households with an annual income of less than $25,860 for a one-person household or less than $29,580 for two people are eligible.  Rents range from $517 to $631 per month. Units are now ready for occupancy. Laurel House have the feel of a loft apartment with 13-foot ceilings and large windows. Many units have a view of downtown Nashville.

Laurel House Apartments are located at 1101 Laurel Street in the Arts Center Redevelopment District on the southwest side of downtown Nashville in a new urbanism development area known as the Gulch. The Gulch provides an ideal setting for such a venture, with an exciting mixed-use, mixed income urban atmosphere. Its proximity to downtown offices, bus service, shopping and urban recreation centers will be attractive and convenient to Laurel House residents.
